Teak
Teak is a tropical hardwood tree species that often found in mixed hardwood forests. It is a large, deciduous tree and can grow up to 40 m tall. Teak often has large papery leaves with hairy lower surfaces.

The teak wood is particularly valued for its durability and water resistance. The wood is commonly used for boat building, exterior construction, veneer, furniture, carvings, turnings, etc.

Texture
Teak varies in hardness depending on the source, moisture content and the age of the wood. On average, it can weigh to about 660 kg/m3. The wood tarns from a light yellowish hue to golden brown. Tighter rings in the often indicates older growth and higher value.
